CNN EUROPE: Breaking news from... PUYALLUP???
Over here in Austria, we have only one English speaking channel: CNN Europe. As you can imagine, we spend the bulk of our TV time watching this channel -- and were completely shocked this morning to look up and see a report from my home town in PUYALLUP!
Yes, rarely does the "biggest city in the world with 2 P's, L's, and U's" make the news, and worldwide to boot. However, when a pair of cows make a wrong turn and head into a convenience store, the world must know!
According to CNN, the annual Puyallup Fair (5th largest in the nation!) begins with a cattle drive down Main Street and into the fairgrounds. The cowboys who were running the event got a little preoccupied and lost track of these curious cows - and hence the mayhem! Eventually they were ushered out of the store, and no one was harmed! Wheh!
And we thought there were lots of animals here in Austria!!!
