Training Camp: Day 2

Where's Waldo?  I think he's on the right.

The intensity was raised during our second day of training camp as we had two very competitive practices and some great team building opportunities (such as jumping in the frigid Adriatic Sea, as pictured above.)  In the morning, we worked on being "backed up" inside of our own five yard line and having to fight our way out.  Matt & Andy freed themselves for a pair of long TD catches, and Flo Grein busted a number of great runs.  In the afternoon, we began focusing our preparations for Graz and cleaning up our special teams....

Back to good ol' Italian practice fields.  Lines?  Nope.  Grass?  Some.  Potholes?  For sure!

Before the afternoon practice, an 'impromptu' punting dual broke out between Andy Proller and our 17-year old super right tackle Michael Habetin.

A lighter moment with our new defensive tackle Gonzalo Segovia.  Gonzalo, originally from Toronto, rejoined the team this week for his 4th tour of duty with the Raiders.  He is a great athlete and a fun-loving person who will give us a lot of help on the defensive line.

Jesus, you have a call.

That evening, we spent a few hours together as a team doing various activities, ranging from Raiders History Quiz to introducing other members of the team.  It was great to start to learn more about our guys, although I'm sure a few things I heard that night were a little over the top!

Caption #2: I LOVE NUTELLA!

I was very happy with the work our team put in this day, and look forward to the rest of camp!
