Training Camp: Day 3

Our team trainer Simone Kircher displays our secret remedy to combat injury: CHEESE!

Day 3 of training camp brought about the typical bumps and bruises usually associated with such an experience.  The offense and defense continued to battle hard, making ankles, knees, and arms begin to show the wear and tear of intense practices.  But lucky for us, we have a secret remedy: Cheese!  (Pictured above)  Yes, instead of ice (as if there would be any in Italy, anyways) our team trainer Simone whipped out her secret remedy of "Topfen" cream cheese to treat these aches and pains.  I myself took part in this exercise (partly for an overused arm & partly for the novelty of it) and found it to ACTUALLY WORK!  Trust me, the video blog is coming soon.

Matt posing with our center Philip Helm (aka Philhelm) as the evening's Festivities kicked off.

After an intense afternoon practice featuring different game situations (such as 2 minute drill), we relaxed at the hotel in the evening.  The main event: Karaoke!  Yes, it may be a staple in Japan and a novelty in the States, but here in Austria it is serious business.  Good fun!

Flo Grein and Tom Plattner bust out "Hey Jude."  Hands in the air!

Fullback "Emmy" goes for a low note...

Offensive Coordinator Carl "Duke" Iverson and Head Coach Santos Carrillo look on with amusement.

The man, the myth, the addiction to chocolate...

Many of the images from this evening were captured by special guest photographer Philhelm.

It should be noted that all of this fun goes hand in hand with all the great football practices we had... although I was a little too busy playing QB to take any pictures of that!
