Firenzic Evidence

Christie looking like a rockstar in front of the Ponte Vecchio, Florence's historic bridge.

The city of Florence is a fantastic blend of what Italy has to offer - the historical significance of the Renaissance, medieval architecture, fantastic shopping, and rich cuisine.  We spent Tuesday afternoon walking the streets of the city and immediately moved it towards the top of our favorite Italian cities list.  Here's some pics!

The Ponte Vecchio itself at dusk, reflecting the glowing sky.

Outdoor statues, such as The Medusa at the Uffizi Art Gallery, make every corner of Florence interesting.

The exterior of the Duomo has fantastic detail, rivaled only by that of Milan's.

Mr. Eric - our photographer friend from Holland - joins Dale for their traditional mid-air kung-fu kick at the camera!

Christie posing at the side of the Duomo.

There are 3 "David's" in Florence... and this one near the bridge casted an interesting shadow at dusk.  Funny... no hat on this one :-)
