MUNIQUE SITES

Man and Fountain, Historic Munich.

Upon arrival in Munich, we instantly felt... comfortable.  Perhaps familiar is a better word - as it was not exactly like North America, but there definitely exists a similarity to Canada that we could not put our finger on but certainly felt, whether from the clean streets, green trees, or growing presence of Starbucks.  Regardless, Munich is a very cool city and a great place to start our German adventure.

Man, Woman, and Fountain; Historic Munich.

We spent Monday morning walking through the cool downtown core, which was completely rebuilt after World War 2 in its original style.  (Interestingly enough, when the Nazi's felt that Allied bombing on the city was imminent, they ordered photographers to systematically photograph everything in the city so that it could be rebuilt after the war just as it had been before.)

The Twin Towers, Medieval Version.

There are a large number of churches, memorial sites, and interesting things to see, all blended together with high-end shopping, restaurant patios, and most prevalent of all, beer halls.

When in Munich, always remember to TRINK Coke.  (Munich Main Train Station)
