The early evening lights of the Monte Carlo Casino reflect on one of the many luxury cars parked out front. I think this is one of Jay-Z's Bentley's.
The country of Monaco is the second smallest in the entire world (ahead of only the Vatican!), with only 33,000 people. HOWEVER, it is also one of the richest... a place where Cokes cost 9 American Dollars and people drive around with bumper-stickers stating "My other car is a Ferrari." Famous for its F1 Race, Monaco-Monte Carlo is built on a steep hill overlooking the Mediterranean, towering over a harbor filled with multi-million dollar yachts and women named Buffy. We spent our first night in the "Riviera" window shopping its expensive stores and doing some of the best people watching imaginable.
What do you get when you combine the photo-styles of Jason Johnson and Wei Wong: A REAL Fisheye Refrection!!! This statue stands in front of the Casino, which you can see in the Reflection.
The fascinating thing about Monaco is that it is comprised of two distinct groups of people: The Rich & Famous walking around in their little "bubble" of money, and the tourists who stand their and gawk at them. We tried to pass for the first group, but couldn't help laughing or taking pictures of some of the biggest peacocks (a term used to describe men who walk around on their toes like the bird sticking out their imaginary feathers saying, "Look at me! Look at me!")
We found the city to be extremely beautiful, and one of the cleanest places on Earth that we have ever been. While I had fun poking fun of the mega-rich, I have to be honest in that it would be unbelievable to live such a lifestyle. A few more years in the IFL and I'm there!!!
On the right, a husband taking a picture of his (mail-order Russian) bride. Excuse me, did I just say that out loud? I'm sorry... she loves him for his personality. SAC.
My favorite yacht in the harbor, illuminated at night and filled with a crew of 7! This 200 footer also has its own speed boat and two jet ski's on the roof. One day it will be mine...
